Something we should treasure In the photograph there is a older person holding hands with a younger child. The main focus point for this photograph is them holding hands. An overarching theme here that shows is love; nothing is better than a parent child relationship. Blurred out in the background is a bridge, the bridge that is shown is a symbol for bond. Bond is something that only close family can have. Seeing in the picture that this child and the parent may have a bond of some sort. The bridge is a metaphor for support, support to get you through the tough times that anyone may have. A child and parents relationship is something that everyone should treasure; we are all caring to each other. In my life I have two parent figures. All three of us have a bond that I believe is very special to have and to share upon one another. Having a father figure is different than having a mother figure because they can help with different situations. My mother has always been there for me when I have troubles with friends or boys. She has been there if I’m ever sick, she has motivated me in a way that no one else has because she believes in me even when I do not believe in myself, she has always brought me together when i can not do that for myself. My mom helps out with the typical girl things that only she can do. I believe that she has done this very well for the past seventeen years that I’ve been growing up. My dad on the other hand teaches me the typical guy things that every daughter should know as he would say. Even though my dad shows me how to check the oil, change a tire etc; he still ends up doing it by himself because he wants everything to be perfect and not for me to get hurt ever. Throughout the years my dad has been someone that taught me to cherish everything that comes into my life and to let go when the time has passed. Both my parents are very good role models, I stand behind them growing up because that’s how we learn. You may not have to follow in their footsteps all the way but they are the people who made you and made me who I am today. Nothing is more important than your parents and who they made you today. Most importantly they love you unconditionally. Children can teach a lot and even parents can learn from them. Kids can make their parents lives better by adding them in into their family. It makes the parents love and care for the child that they have. Everyone has their own opinion and once the child is old enough and can understand, their opinions can be different from the parents opinion. In which, this may also teach the parents or make them make a rational and good decision. Parents have a hold on the electronics but children nowadays know a lot more about electronics than their parents do. Children can teach their parents new ways to communicate and learning new ways to do everything such as doing everything on your electronic now. This can also be a new way of bonding. Parents do everything to do keep their children happy and healthy, nothing is better than bonding with your parents whether if it’s by teaching or learning from each other or taking a simple walk in the park. These moments you have to treasure and cherish. This parent child relationship is a treasure to each other. Our parents have been there for their children since day one. No one has a better bond nor support than anyone else except their parents. You’re relationship is like a bridge, you have the bond to hold each other up and you have the support to keep eachother going. Children have a lot to teach to their parents and parents have a lot to learn. As you grow up, you will always have the bond and that support to keep yourself going and most importantly to keep your parents going as well. Treasure and cherish every moment you have with your child because a parent child relationship is special.

The difference one individual can make I see is an important theme in Schindler's list. Oskar first wanted the jews for work but as time goes on, he starts to care for every jew that is being hurt. The little girl in the red coat was very significant for this theme because this is the turn around point for Oskar. He saw the little girl walking in the terror of everything and then next saw her dead in the wheelbarrow. Him seeing a young girl dead finally gave him a realization that what they were doing was very wrong and he wanted to o everything in his power to save as many jews as possible. In the end Oskar ends up saving every jew that had worked for him. He changed the lives of the jews and in the end I believe he also changed himself.

Artificial Intelligence
“Computers will overtake humans with Artificial Intelligence within the next 100 years. When that happens, we need to make sure that the computers have goals aligned with ours.” This is a quote said by Stephen Hawking about Artificial Intelligence. These computers that we use every single day in our lives is very crucial when it involves Artificial Intelligence. When it involves Artificial Intelligence it could be a unsafe thing because we can only control them to a certain extent and if we do not know how to shut them down, it can leave us in a bad situation. We already have that computer Artificial Intelligence among us in our everyday lives, it has been brought to us in the form of Siri, Google Now, Amazon Alexa and multiple other assistant forms. Siri has been created when the Iphones have come out. If you ask Siri a question, she or he can help you out with anything online related. If you have a destination to get to, Siri can help you get there through google maps. We now have assistants in our vehicles also, through voice command so your not always on the phone while you driving. Siri was created first created since 2011 and is still being made into them today. Google now was introduced in July 9 2012 which was developed by Google. Amazon Alexa was released in November of 2014. Everyday over a span of so many years has been Artificial Intelligence. In 2004, there was a movie called I, Robot that highly intelligent robots fill public services positions throughout the world, operating under three rules to keep humans safe. Eventually, in the movie the robots has turned on the humans. Even though this film is just a movie, some people may watch that movie and be scared as everything we own and have are made up of robot technician and also be scared that something may go wrong while using them. Even though we people may be terrified to bring all of this into our lives, we should always be open to new ideas which could be very beneficial in our future. Us humans are smart but the Artificial Intelligence world of robots is also smart; they will know so much more than we know even if it is scary we should still be open to it. 1. What is your favorite moments in the book?My favourite moment in the "Alchemist" was when Santiago met the king. This was the start of Santiago's amazing journey to find his hidden treasure. The king really had helped him out on deciding to actually go on the journey, I believe. Another favourite moment was when Santiago had let the crystal merchant. They both helped each other out and they both learned so many things from each other. I absolutely loved the book even more the second time i have read it. It had great characters and settings in it. 2. In your own opinion, and if you had to choose only one thing what is the only thing worth living for? What would Paulo Coelho say is worth living for?In my own opinion, the one thing that is worth living for is a loving husband and amazing kids in the future. I truly believe that having those things in my life in the future will be definitely worth living for. I also believe that having a job that I love to go to everyday will also do the trick. Paulo Coelho would definitely say that following your dreams would be worth living. Following your dreams sets a perfect path for what you would love to do in the future.
Smartphone Generation Being super-connected is a reality for teens today. We are the first generation to spend our adolescence with a smartphone. Us teens today, socialise differently now then what it was like without phones. We spend our time differently, it has an affect on our behaviour, our point of view on different religions, sexuality and politics that happen around the world. Using social media has made us kids in the iGen grow up slower than we should be. 18 year olds are looking and acting like 15 year olds but it can also be vise versa. One of the problems that come with iGen and using social media all the time is something that absolutely no one should ignore and that is the increase of anxiety depression among us teens and research has said that using phones and social media is a huge cause of this. This trend that has came upon us changes how us teens change or free time and our mental health which can be connected. Us teens who use or screens more can be less happy or become depressed. Teens who use screens feel less happy and depressed because they simply do not get out of house as much as people who use the less equivalent amount of time on the phone. Depression is an emotion or disorder that should not be ignored. An article has mentioned that depression happens more in women than men; but does not mean that we need to focus more on one gender than the other. Even though there is bullying face to face everyday in the world; there is also bullying going on with the Smartphone use. Bullying face to face is worse enough but i believe that having the use of a Smartphone can make make situations far more worse. I seen a movie that had bullying in it which led to depression and anxiety for the person who has been getting bullied. The movie is called “A girl like her”, in this movie there was use of smartphones along with bullying in school. The bully in this movie used facebook, instagram and snapchat along with other social media to make the victims life worse than anyone should ever have. It had gotten so bad that it led the victim in the movie to overdose on pills, which led to coma. Depression has increased way more when the use of smartphones came into play. The use of smartphones have a huge impact on our lives and other lives. I feel that we should have restrictions on our phones whether it’s at home, family dinners, visiting friend or at school. Depression and anxiety are the problems that come with the smartphone in our iGeneration in which no one should ignore. This is important because depression and anxiety can take a toll on multiple people; when we take a stand and make sure that our peers and parents sons and daughters are okay it make a big difference. Even though teens are connected to their phones all the time I believe that most of us are still connected to the outer world. Having restrictions towards our phones can also play a big part in depression and anxiety; even though we may not be happy about those restrictions I believe that once we realize that we have spent time away from our phones our mindset will change and hopefully us teens can have both smartphones and a life away from them. I believe that once we take a step away we will all be happy because we’ve been getting out more and spending time with out friends. For myself, I would love to be outside with my friends, go to the movie’s and have a good time. I believe that our phones have taken over us and it simply not healthy at all. Once we have a healthy mindset and body, we will all be happy. Smartphones should not be used in my opinion just because it is unhealthy and nothing comes good out of it. |
